Prime Vineyards Partners (“PVP”) is the brainchild of Bernard Gault, a merchant banker with 35 years of experience in M&A and principal investment, and Laurent Vialette, one of the world's leading wine consultant
Messrs. Gault and Vialette have observed that the powerful trends affecting the owners of prime vineyards in France create an opportunity for a dedicated investment group to partner with the owners and winemakers and support them in making the most of their first class assets
To support this vision, they have created Prime Vineyards Partners with funding from them and a number of high net worth wine fans
In full partnership with the owners, Prime Vineyards Partners intends to acquire stakes in high end wine estates by providing replacement capital to those of the shareholders who wish to exit and by injecting fresh funds to finance expansion and new developments
In most cases, Prime Vineyards Partners will not seek to acquire control but rather act as a supportive partner to the management and provide expertise in areas such as finance , marketing and distribution, where Messrs. Gault and Vialette have a proven track record
